Welcome to the Town of Riverview "Adopt
a Tree Program". We hope you enjoy participating as much
as we enjoy the preparation of the event.
We will be working with living trees so please proceed with
caution so branches are not broken and so that no one is hurt
on the worksite.
The Town of Riverview's Responsibilities

1. |
Provide applications online or by mail. |
|
2. |
Provide the trees, lights and electrical service |
|
3. |
Assign trees around proposed skating rink on a first come basis. |
|
4. |
String the lights on each leased tree. |
|
5. |
Turn lights on first Saturday in December |
|
6. |
Recognize each business, organization or family leasing a tree
through placement of signage at each tree. |
|
7. |
Plan lighting ceremony for second Saturday in December at 4:00
pm while working cooperatively with the Fire Department Auxiliary
- for Xmas caroling, providing cookies and hot choolate in preparation
for the arrival of SANTA on the fire truck. |

8. |
Publish a "thank you" to each group leasing a tree
at the end of the season |

9. |
Remove lights by March 31st, dependent on weather. |
The Businesses'/Organizations'/Families'
Responsibilities

1. |
Complete application and submit after November 1st, with payment,
to the Town of Riverview, Christmas Tree Celebration, P.O. Box
220, Mountain, WI 54149. Trees are available on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
NOTE: Anyone from any community is welcome to participate.

2. |
Decorate the tree, at your own risk, prior to December 8th or
for a $50 donation, the elves will decorate and undecorate your
tree, with you providing the ornaments. A tree decorating
date has been set for Saturday, December 1st at 2:00pm.
If you are unable to decorate at that time, you are free to decorate
the tree when you are able to. |

3. |
Use natural products with your decorating such as: green wire,
popcorn, cranberries, etc. Ribbons and bows are also encouraged.
Pipe cleaners to hang the ornaments is suggested as it does not
damage the trees. |

4. |
Secure ornaments to branches so that they do not break or blow
away. |
|
5. |
Remove decorations by January 31st. Failure to do so will eliminate
future participation in the program. |
